Volume Snapshots

Overview

Volume Snapshots allow you to capture and save the exact state of a storage volume at any specific point in time. Volume Snapshots are essential for data protection, backups, and efficient management of storage resources. With Volume Snapshots, you can:

  • Restore volumes: You can quickly recover volumes from snapshots to prevent accidental data loss because of system failures and data corruption, as well as accidental deletion.

  • Create new volumes: Your production environment stays untouched while you establish new volumes for testing and development purposes and data analysis needs.
