15th January – Beta v1.0

We are excited to launch the public beta release of Qumulus Cloud Platform, a modern and simplified cloud infrastructure experience.

This is our very first milestone in our journey. We’re just getting started, There is a long road ahead to reach our vision. Join us as we build the cloud you always wanted.

  • Rapid Instances(VMs)Provisioning: Launch high-performance VMs in under 60 seconds.

  • Automated Networking Setup: Default VPC, subnet, and routers are auto-generated.

  • Enhanced Security Management: Default security groups and key pair management for secure instance access.

Enhancements

  • Instance: Now, Associated Security Groups are visible in Instance Details.

  • Dashboard: Monthly usage trends are now displayed on the Project Dashboard.

Features

Instances:

  • Soft (graceful restart) and Hard (forced restart) reboot options are available now.

  • Ability to modify the attached Security Groups post-launch.

  • The default username is now displayed in Instance Details.

  • Supports extending storage size for existing volumes.

  • Instance: Auto-selection of newly created key pairs.

Features

  • Instance Resize: Users can adjust RAM size and vCPU resources of active instances through Instance Resize.

Bug Fixes

  • Security Groups: Instances properly show linked Security Groups regardless of whether rules are present or not.

  • User Management: The three-dot action menu now appears correctly for users in 'Invited' status.

Enhancements

  • Skyhost: Updated green status message with a refresh button.

  • Security Groups: Redirection from the instance now opens in a fresh browser tab.

  • “Edit Storage” renamed to “Rename Storage”.

Known Issues

  • UI overlap in Resize Instance dialog (Instance Type and vCPU Count fields).

  • Minimum RAM validation may not fully align with instance OS requirements.

3rd April – v3.4

Enhancements

Instances:

  • Improved handling and display of deletion statuses.

  • Overlapping issues are resolved, which occur during both the resize processes and instance creation.

  • Users can now see their Private and Public IP addresses during storage configuration.

Volumes:

  • The UI text problems of cutoff and alignment have been fixed in confirmation dialogs for Volume Deletion.

  • Improved volume action menu responsiveness.

Security Groups:

  • Redis and MongoDB security rule types have been added to the supported list.

  • Implemented validation for security group names

  • The button label changed "Loading" to "Save" whenever users made modifications.

Features

  • Instance Monitoring (Preview): CPU and memory graphs are now available in real time for instances directly from the Dashboard.

Known Issues

  • Mimir API received an incorrect end time for custom date range processes (1–3 days).

  • Improved: Start and end time validation should occur on custom 30-day time ranges.

  • Minor UI bugs were resolved.

Dependencies

  • Instance Tags API deployed.

  • Monitoring API deployed.

  • Mimir credentials configured

  • User Interface: Action buttons relocated to the top of the resource lists for Instances, Volumes, Security Groups, and Public IPs.
